There have been several eye drop recalls recently because of concerns that they may not be sterile. There is a good article posted at Fast Company that explains the reason for the recall and some of the products involved. The products in question were made by Altaire Pharmaceuticals, which issued a voluntary recall for the eye drops as a precautionary measure. Altaire has not received reports of adverse effects.
